We regret to inform our dear customers that effectively immediately, we are terminating our use of cPanel control panel for Shared, Wordpress, and Reseller Hosting. All existing services using cPanel will be migrated to DirectAdmin.
This decision has been made final due to cPanel's license price hike as we announced few weeks ago which, regrettably, is also highly criticized by the hosting industry.
For many years, Jolly Works Hosting has been a reliable choice for affordable web hosting. Our services, as you know, are priced rock-bottom so you, our customers, can allocate your resources to other aspects of growing your website whether for business or personal goals.
It is with our deep regrets that due to cPanel's new account based pricing, Jolly Works Hosting can no longer use cPanel for Wordpress Hosting business and thus ceasing all services associated ASAP.
While cPanel is the industry-leader, it is quite surprising that there are a number of alternatives available in the market. One that is highly supported and recommended by the hosting community is DirectAdmin. You may visit our KB article to view a demo of DirectAdmin.
What will happen to my Shared / WordPress / Reseller account?
As a hosting account holder, we offer you two options for which you can decide upon.
Option 1 (default): We will be migrating your account to our DirectAdmin (DA) server on or before 31st August 2019 20:00 GMT+7. There is no expected downtime, however it is important that you:
- DO NOT update anything on your website during the migration as any data after we generate your backup and migrate will not be included to the new DA server
- UPDATE your name servers immediately as soon as you receive a notification that your website has been migrated
Option 2: We understand that switching to a new control panel is not your choice due to factors you consider. In line with that, we will offer you a pro-rated refund. You can choose to migrate to a new cPanel Hosting provider on or before Aug 31, 2019 (hard deadline) which we will assist you as best as we can.
Please let us know...
We look forward to receive your response by no later than August 29, 2019 by opening a support ticket here. Otherwise, we will proceed to assume that you choose Option 1.
We look forward that our business relationship will not end here and may we continue to host your website for many more years to come regardless of hardships we face along the road.
Thank you very much for your time reading this e-mail in full and also for your patience and understanding.
